Fizz Fest 2023: A sell-out success
8th August 2023
Huge success for Vineyards of Hampshire’s flagship event, Fizz Fest, as over 1000 people attended the ninth edition of the event.
Taking place at Hambledon Vineyard in Hampshire, Vineyards of Hampshire’s (VoH) flagship event was opened by Alice Monaghan of the Southern Vipers cricket team and championed Hampshire’s 8 premier vineyards showing over 25 different premium sparkling and still wine.
Held in the bucolic setting of Hambledon, the UK’s oldest commercial vineyard, the day saw visitors sample a selection of Hampshire’s finest wines alongside the finest food producers.
Ian Kellett, owner of Hambledon said: “We were delighted to have hosted Vineyards of Hampshire’s annual Fizz Fest here at Hambledon Vineyard, and are so pleased with the turn out. It was great to see so many old friends as well as welcoming all wine lovers to taste a range of sparkling and still wines in our historic setting.”
Ticketholders also had an opportunity experience tutored vineyard tours and exclusive masterclasses on wine and food pairing, wine glasses and on specific wines. There was also a chance to sample local wine from Black Chalk, Danebury Vineyards, Exton Park, The Grange, Hambledon, Hattingley, Louis Pommery England and Raimes at the VoH tasting Marquee.
On this year’s Fizz Fest, Sarah Johnson, Chair of Vineyards of Hampshire, said: “This was our ninth Fizz Fest and the biggest and best so far. Hambledon did such a wonderful job of hosting and we couldn’t be happier with this year’s turnout and a special thanks to our sponsors NFU Winchester and Wickham, Porsche Bournemouth, Riedel, de Mellow&Co and Martin and Company Accountants.”
Plans for next year’s 10th anniversary Fizz Fest 24 are already underway. In the meantime, Vineyards of Hampshire’s festive event, Fairy Lights and Fizz will take place 23rd November at Winchester Guildhall.
