British Garden Centres fundraised £20K for Greenfingers Charity

The event saw the team members and customers from across the UK coming together to support the vital work of Greenfingers in creating beautiful, therapeutic outdoor spaces for seriously ill children and their families at hospices across the UK. 

As every year, employees from British Garden Centres showed strong support for Greenfingers, taking part in many FUNdraising initiatives.

James Ducker, events manager at British Garden Centres, said: “We are so proud that the entire British Garden Centres family has come together to fundraise on Garden Re-Leaf Day for Greenfingers Charity, which is celebrating 25 years of creating magical gardens for children in hospices across the UK.  

“These gardens have touched millions of lives, and we are aiming to smash last year’s incredible £15,000 and continue supporting this amazing cause that gives so much to so many.” 

Contribution to therapeutic green spaces

Linda Petrons, director of fundraising and communications, added: “Greenfingers extends heartfelt thanks to every British Garden Centres store and team member for their outstanding efforts during Garden Re-Leaf Day.  

“We deeply appreciate the generosity of the centres, teams, and customers, whose contributions will help us create therapeutic green spaces where families can make cherished memories.” 

British Garden Centres (BGC) is the UK’s largest family-owned garden centre group with 72 centres around the country. The group is owned and led by the Stubbs family, who also own and operate Woodthorpe Leisure Park in Lincolnshire.
