7th October 2024
Britain’s oldest wine and spirits merchant, Berry Bros. & Rudd, has announced the launch of its first-ever online auction this autumn, giving collectors from across the world an opportunity to acquire rare and iconic wines and spirits.
Berry Bros. & Rudd confirmed that the online auction will feature wines and spirits from Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne and beyond.
Bidding will be open to collectors across the world, no matter whether you are an existing Berry Bros. & Rudd customer or not. In addition, the auction has a buyer’s premium set at a highly competitive 20%, the company confirmed.
A spokesperson for Berry Bros. & Rudd said: “As the UK’s oldest fine wine and spirits merchant, we’ve spent decades helping people build some of the world’s best cellars.
“Through our auctions, those looking for highly desirable wines and spirits will now have the opportunity to buy from some of these world-leading collections.
“Each bottle featured will have had its provenance guaranteed by our in-house team of authentication experts.”
Berry Bros. & Rudd is a family-owned and run business that was founded in 1698.
The company still trades from No. 3 St James’s Street, though with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo.
