The vineyard that launched in 2024 prides itself on being an eco-friendly, sustainable vineyard, working closely with nature every step of the way.

The Sustainable Wines of Great Britain (SWGB) Scheme was established in 2020 to bring authority, assurance and credibility to the way in which sustainability is measured and observed in the wine industry of Great Britain.

Wine producers can gain SWGB certification for their vineyards, wineries and wines by following the SWGB Scheme guidelines and successfully completing an independent audit every three years.

The Wildshark Vineyard team said: “The SWGB experience was smooth. We had clear guidance and straightforward access to the data hub.

“We made sure all our information was as clear as possible, and we had as many details as possible.

“We are proud that we have managed to complete our first audit.”

A spokesperson for WineGB said: “This is an impressive achievement and we look forward to following their sustainability journey. Well done to the entire team!”
