Scottish berry producer Angus Soft Fruits celebrates 30 years in business

Scottish berry breeder and producer, Angus Soft Fruits, has celebrated its 30 years in business during the annual conference.
The event that took place on 14th November brought together industry leaders, innovators and policymakers who discussed the current challenges and future of agriculture, fresh produce and agri-tech.
Angus Soft Fruits said that the day informed and inspired berry specialists, growers, buyers and key stakeholders.
A spokesperson for the company added: “After the conference, we celebrated 30 years of Angus Soft Fruits with our guests. Starting with a champagne reception, followed by a delicious meal and an evening of awards, entertainment from Clanadonia, and Ceilidh dancing with Pepperpot.”
‘Remarkable growth’ over 30 years
Angus Soft Fruits Ltd was established in 1994 by growers Lochy Porter, Willie Porter and James Gray.
The company’s journey began with a vision to provide customers with the freshest fruit directly from the growers.
The firm said that over 30 years, Angus Soft Fruits has experienced “remarkable growth”, both in terms of fruit volume and the expertise of its dedicated team of berry specialists.
The company’s commitment to its mission of delighting customers every day has been unwavering, driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Despite facing numerous challenges, including Brexit, the global pandemic, inflation, and rising costs, Angus Soft Fruits has navigated these obstacles with resilience and integrity.
